Womens Hair Loss ProblemsMany ladies have their self esteem tied up in how they look. Not a good thing as looks change but it's a fact of life for most females. A bad hair day is hard enough for guys to try to understand but when it gets to hair loss in women men are totally lost about the emotional effects. Womens Hair Loss CausesThere are several things that can cause hair loss in women. Alopecia is just one of the causes that can affect ladies lovely locks. The cause of alopecia is dihydrotesterone, a male hormone.Hormonal changes can also cause hair loss. After puberty, pregnancy or menopause can be the cause of womens hair loss as these are the two biggest hormonal changes that happen to women. Hormonal changes usually cause hair to fall out in one part of the body and grow more or get thicker in another part. So you may lose some of the hair on the head and gain some hair on the face or arms. If you're lucky, when the hormones settle back down the hair on your head may grow back. You lose about 100 hairs a day and replace about the same amount. The hormonal changes seem to keep new hair from growing where you want it. If you see that you are losing ore hair than normal, check with your doctor and see if there is a hormonal problem or other problem. Hair breakage is another part of the problem. With all the curling irons, hair straightening irons and the other harsh things women do to their hair it's no wonder it gets brittle and breaks. I know few females that don't understand what is causing their split ends or their hair to break off. Yet they keep doing the same things to their hair so, as they say, they can look good. Ladies need to understand that looking good at the expense of broken hair is a short term thing and soon they will start looking very bad. Ladies need to stop doing the things that damage the hair and start doing things that will help the hair. Stop with the tight braids and the tight pony tails. If you are taking medication you could end up with womens hair loss. Chemo and beta blockers can both cause hair loss in women, just as they can in men. Diuretics can also be the cause of hair falling out. Diet and lifestyle also have a lot to do with losing hair. Deficiencies of some vitamins can cause hair loss as can to much sun or wind. Having a daily diet plan with enough vitamin B7 Biotin, iron and protein will help with hair growth. One thing that contributes to womens hair loss is washing the hair everyday or more. Instead of everyday try washing it every other day. Also change your shampoo for every third or fourth time you wash your hair. Shampoo builds up it's own gunk that can cause hair to either not grow as it should or cause it to fall out. There are some things you can do like acupuncture or scalp massage, green or ginger tea may also have some effect. You can also try some of the hair growth or regrowth shampoos as they seem to work well for some people. There are many over the counter products designed for people who are losing their hair. You might want to try some of them. I highly recommend you check with your doctor for advice before taking any actions with your womens hair loss. |
